Paratransit, Inc. is now accepting internal applications for a full-time Transportation Operations Trainer. Job duties include training in accordance with established methods and procedures to provide classroom orientation and behind-the-wheel instruction, as well as conducting internal incident investigations, providing assistance and support functions to the Transportation Operations Department in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a variety of operations-related activities and functions such as developing and implementing training programs, monitoring and reviewing daily operations activities, and providing documentation and input to the employee performance evaluation process. This position is considered safety-sensitive and subject to Paratransit’s drug and alcohol testing program. A current DMV H6 printout must be submitted with application. This position is open until filled.

The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Training experience
  • Computer experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Sacramento area and strong mapping skills
  • Good driving record
  • Good attendance record
  • High level of professionalism
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Commercial California Driver License with Passenger Endorsement
  • COVID-19 vaccine required

Desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Two or more years of professional driving experience
  • Valid CPR Instructor Certification
  • Experience in accident investigation
  • Supervisory and/or leadership experience

Salary:

The starting salary range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications. This position includes a generous benefits package, including free Kaiser medical and MetLife dental for employee, low cost benefits for dependents, vision, chiropractic and life insurance, voluntary benefits, medical and dependent day care FSA accounts and 401k plan with an employer contribution after two years of service. Medical and Dental benefits start the first of the months after 30 days of employment.
