Why: 2021 has been a challenging year for so many of our friends and neighbors. Seniors have been especially impacted during COVID-19 and unfortunately, for a large number of seniors, isolation and loneliness are a growing reality.
Paratransit, Inc. has been fortunate enough to work with many great local service providers to help support seniors who need assistance during COVID-19. Efforts such as the Great Plates Delivered program and boxed meal distributions with Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services inspired the team at Paratransit to help spread cheer during this holiday season. Thus, Winter Wish List was created to collect items that will bring warmth and coziness and a visit from our friendly drivers and AmeriCorps volunteers right into the homes of area seniors.
